A Family Portrait Session at Nine Quarter Circle Ranch | Big Sky, Montana

I arrived for a session with the Szust family at Nine Quarter Circle Ranch. The light was dreamy, the setting was magical. The kids were crying. Sometimes you’ll have it.

When this happens I don’t like to force it. This is when I take parents aside and encourage them to let the kids do their thing- give them room to run & play & be wild. Times like these are where it takes a little extra work on the parents end to step in and be creative and wrangle the kids for some open air family playtime. And the Szust’s did just that. And when I released the session and got this email back I knew we had turned the night around for everyone:

“Kelsey, I just don’t even know how you worked this magic. I literally cried. Thank you so much”. Thank YOU, Szust family. Sometimes it takes a village to pull off family photos.
